2. REGISTRATION

The Registration desk is located on the 1st floor of the Prague Congress Centre. We kindly ask you to use the Entrance no. 5.
As assistance, please follow the footsteps signage that will lead you from the Metro station Vyšehrad to the Entrance no. 5.

We recommend avoiding peak registration times by taking advantage of the registration openings time on Saturday morning. Presenting the barcode sent to you by an email at the registration desk will also speed up the badge pick up the process.
To retrieve the barcode, go to the Meeting Online portal, log in and look for the Communication Log tab.

Delegates who have not yet settled the registration fee in full will be asked to pay the balance during Registration. The Registration desk accepts Credit / Debit cards (Visa, MasterCard) or cash (EUR only).

Please note that badges need to be worn at all times when attending all sessions and official Meeting program and during the Social Events.

3. SCIENTIFIC PROGRAMME

Information for Oral Presenters

Please note all presentations must be uploaded (with a USB stick) in the presenting room where your lecture is scheduled for, during Coffee break/ Lunch break, but at least 15 min before the session starts. Presentation for an early morning session should be handed over in the evening before.

In case you bring your own computer, please note that you will NOT be able to use it to run the presentation.

Information for Poster Presenters

Poster Area is located on the 1st floor foyer.

Maximum Poster Dimensions are: 90cm (width) x 120cm (height)

Poster Mounting - The poster Area will be open for poster mounting the appropriate day on which your poster presentation is scheduled for, from 8:00 am.

Your poster should be set up before the Poster Session it is scheduled for.

Please make sure to mount your poster on the poster board with the number corresponding to the number assigned to your poster presentation (e.g. P.01-Sunday). Mounting material will be available onsite.

Poster Dismantling – All materials must be removed by the owner of the poster by the end of the daily program on which the poster presentation is scheduled for.

Posters left behind will be automatically removed and disposed.

7. PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION

YOU WILL RECEIVE A FREE TRANSPORTATION PASS ALONG WITH YOUR BADGE AT THE EBBS REGISTRATION DESK IN THE VENUE VALID FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF THE MEETING (21 – 24 September 2019).

Airport

Bus stops are situated in front of the Arrival Hall of Terminal 1 and 2.

Get the connections to the venue here.

The easiest connection is by BUS 119 to Nadraží Veleslavín - metro line A (Direction Depo Hostivař) to Muzeum station - transfer to line C direction Háje to Vyšehrad station (2 stops). This transportation takes around 45 minutes.

The basic ticket costs 32CZK and can be purchased in the automatic vending machines (accepts CC) or in the Prague Public Transportation Desks in the arrival halls.

Taxi

Transport from the Vaclav Havel Airport by taxi takes about 40 min.

Official airport taxis are standing right in front of the terminals (advance reservation is not necessary).

The airport taxis accept cash in CZK, EUR or credit cards

Average price: 800 CZK / 30 EUR

NOTE: Due to the regulation of the traffic by Prague Airport most taxi companies are newly applying a surcharge of 50CZK/2EUR or 100CZK/5 EUR to the fare to cover the fee to access the Terminals, which is legal.

UBER / BOLT (TAXIFY)

The global on-line platforms are operating in Prague offering beneficial rates.

Certificate of Attendance

All registered delegates present on-site are entitled to receive a Certificate of Attendance.
Certificates will be emailed to all on-site delegates after the Meeting.

Currency

Currency is the Czech Crown – CZK / Kč.
Exchange rate 1 EUR = 25,87 CZK (in September 2019).
It is advisable to exchange money in banks rather than in the street exchange offices or us the ATM.
We advise not to exchange money at the airport.

Banks opening hours:

Monday to Thursday - 09:00-18:00
Friday - 09:00-16:00
Weekend - closed

The credit cards are widely accepted in shops and restaurants.
Also, EUR cash is widely accepted, but consider that the rates are usually not beneficial.

At the venue, an ATM is located close to entrance number 5 (main meeting entrance).

Lunches

Kindly note that lunches are NOT provided.

However, there is a cash bar between Exhibition and Posters where you can purchase the lunches
or
you can pick from several restaurants/pubs available in the vicinity. The prices of a lunch menu with a drink are between 150 – 300 CZK.

Tipping

In restaurants guests usually tip the waiter with about 5-10%.

Parking

Participants arriving by car are advised to use the underground parking available.
Please note parking fees are not included in the registration fees.

Electrical Appliances

If you are planning to bring electrical equipment (e.g. battery chargers, laptop power supply, etc.), please check whether you need an adapter. Electrical power is rated 230 V at 50 Hz. Most common power outlets are designed for a two-pin Euro plug (Plug types C, E & F ).

Weather

Prague is a city with a “mild continental climate”. The average temperature in September varies between 10 °C and 20°C.
